It's laid down under controlled lighting: cold light, warm light, and UV, each revealing the coating from a different angle so our technicians can see it's going on perfectly evenly and catch any high spots or streaks before they flash and cure. Miss that window and the imperfection sets permanently — the only way to remove it then is to polish the surface back down and start again — which is exactly why this belongs in trained hands.

The top coat is the finishing layer that gives the coating its signature feel. It adds an extremely slick, hydrophobic surface that repels water and makes the paint dramatically easier to clean — dirt, grime, and road contaminants struggle to bond to it, so they rinse away instead of sticking the way they do to bare, uncoated paint.
